Payment is due in full upon receipt of the invoice unless an alternative payment arrangement has been approved by Active Auto Care in advance. We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks. Customers may also receive an electronic invoice with a secure online payment option.Past-Due PaymentsInvoices that remain unpaid after their due date are considered past due. Active Auto Care may send payment reminders by phone, text, email, or mail.Past-due balances may be subject to late fees when permitted by applicable Idaho law and when properly disclosed and agreed upon.Unpaid BalancesActive Auto Care reserves the right to decline additional services for customers with outstanding unpaid balances until their accounts are brought current. If payment remains outstanding, Active Auto Care may pursue lawful collection efforts, including referring the account to a collection agency or pursuing legal action when appropriate.Payment ArrangementsPayment arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by Active Auto Care. Any approved arrangement does not change our standard payment terms for future services.
DepositsFor repair estimates exceeding $1,000, Active Auto Care requires a 60% deposit before ordering parts or scheduling repairs.Deposits help cover the cost of parts, materials, and preparation needed to complete the approved service. The remaining balance is due upon receipt of the final invoice unless other payment arrangements have been approved in advance.Cancellations & RefundsIf a customer cancels a repair after parts have been ordered or work has begun, any refund will depend on the costs already incurred.Nonreturnable parts, special-order parts, restocking fees, completed labor, and other authorized expenses may be deducted from the deposit.Any remaining refundable balance will be returned to the customer.Changes to RepairsIf additional repairs or parts are needed, Active Auto Care will discuss the changes and obtain customer approval before proceeding with additional charges.
Repair EstimatesActive Auto Care provides customers with an estimate before beginning authorized repairs whenever possible.Estimates are based on the information available at the time, including the vehicle's condition, reported concerns, parts, and estimated labor.Because we may not have physically inspected the vehicle when preparing an estimate, the final repair cost may change if additional problems are discovered.Authorization for RepairsBy approving an estimate, the customer authorizes Active Auto Care to perform the repairs and services listed in that estimate.Approval may be provided electronically, in writing, or through another documented method accepted by Active Auto Care.Additional Repairs & ChargesIf our technician discovers additional problems, damaged components, or the need for extra parts or labor, we will contact the customer to explain the findings and any additional costs. We will not perform additional chargeable repairs without obtaining customer approval first.Declined RepairsCustomers may choose to decline recommended repairs. Active Auto Care will document declined services when appropriate. We are not responsible for problems resulting from repairs or maintenance that a customer chooses not to authorize, to the extent permitted by applicable law.Estimate LimitationsAn estimate is not a guarantee that all vehicle problems have been identified or that the proposed repairs will resolve unrelated or previously undetected issues.
Diagnostic FeesActive Auto Care offers two levels of diagnostic services:Basic Diagnostics: Starting at $100Advanced Diagnostics: Starting at $200Diagnostic fees cover the technician's time, testing, and evaluation of the vehicle's reported concerns.Diagnostic fees are separate from repair costs and are not applied toward the cost of repairs.Additional TestingSome vehicle problems require additional testing, specialized equipment, or more time to identify the cause. If basic diagnostics need to be upgraded to advanced diagnostics, the diagnostic charge will be $200 instead of $100.If additional specialized testing is required, additional charges may apply. We will explain any additional diagnostic charges and obtain customer approval before proceeding.Diagnostic FindingsDiagnostics are performed using the information and vehicle conditions available at the time of inspection. Some problems may be intermittent, require additional testing, or involve multiple contributing issues. A diagnostic evaluation does not guarantee that every existing or future vehicle problem will be identified.Repair RecommendationsAfter completing the diagnostic evaluation, Active Auto Care will explain the findings and recommend appropriate next steps.Any recommended repairs will be estimated separately and require customer approval before work begins.
Mobile Service Travel FeesActive Auto Care is a 100% mobile mechanic service. We travel directly to our customers' homes, workplaces, or other approved service locations.A travel fee is charged for mobile service appointments to help cover transportation, fuel, and travel-related expenses.Service AreasWe proudly serve Nampa, Boise, Meridian, Caldwell, Kuna, Eagle, Star, and Garden City, Idaho.Customers outside our regular service area may be subject to additional travel charges depending on their location and our availability.Multiple VisitsSome services require more than one visit, such as an initial diagnostic appointment followed by a separate repair appointment.A separate travel fee applies to each visit unless otherwise agreed upon by Active Auto Care.Travel Fee DisclosureThe applicable travel fee will be communicated to the customer before the appointment is confirmed.Travel fees may change over time. The fee quoted and agreed upon when scheduling will apply to that appointment unless the customer approves a change.Any discounts or waived travel fees must be approved by Active Auto Care.
Appointment CancellationsWe understand that plans can change! Active Auto Care asks customers to provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.Providing advance notice allows us to adjust our schedule and offer the appointment time to another customer.Last-Minute CancellationsIf an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, any applicable charges for parts already ordered, special-order items, or other previously authorized expenses may still apply.Missed AppointmentsIf our technician arrives at the scheduled location and cannot access the vehicle, reach the customer, or safely begin the approved service, the appointment may be considered a missed appointment.A travel fee may still apply if our technician has already traveled to the service location.ReschedulingWe will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests based on technician availability, parts availability, and our existing appointments.Delays or Cancellations by Active Auto CareBecause we provide mobile mechanic services, unexpected repairs, traffic, weather, parts delays, or other circumstances may affect our arrival times. If we need to delay or reschedule an appointment, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding as we work to provide safe, reliable service to every customer.
